São Paulo, January 2021 – Eurofarma, a pharmaceutical company present in 20 Latin American countries, strengthens its operations in Colombia by acquiring the Ditopax® product from the Bayer laboratory. Indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, Ditopax® has been produced at the Eurofarma Colombia plant for more than five years.

Known for its quality and efficiency, Ditopax® adds to Eurofarma’s portfolio in the country, which includes products in different therapeutic classes and segments. The transaction reaffirms the company’s commitment to continue investing in the growth of its operations in Colombia, one of the main markets in the region.

Eurofarma has been in Colombia since 2012; its recent initiatives are intended to tackle the challenge of consolidating the company’s operations in Latin America and through acquisitions in the region. The goal highlighted in Eurofarma’s Vision 2022 establishes that international operations will represent 30% of the company’s total sales on this horizon.
