App for patients with Parkinson's wins Cannes Lions Pharma Grand Prix
“Scrolling Therapy” is the result of a partnership between Dentsu Creative and Eurofarma, with support from Associação Brasil Parkinson
NEW YORK, SÃO PAULO and BUENOS AIRES, June 19, 2023 – The “Scrolling Therapy” application, developed from the partnership between Dentsu Creative and Eurofarma, with the support of Associação Brasil Parkinson, has won a Grand Prix in the Pharma Category at The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2023. It is considered the largest honor awarded in this category, representing the pinnacle of creative excellence and innovation in advertising. The announcement was made on Monday, June 19, in Cannes, France. The creation and development of the application united efforts and collaboration between Dentsu Creative's teams in Argentina, Brazil and the USA, with specialists from Eurofarma and specialists from dentsu health.
The Pharma Lions celebrate creative communications for pharmaceutical clients and services with work that brings science and innovation to life. All work entered into Pharma Lions must be aimed at specific practitioners and patient groups in relation to the management of a disease or medical condition diagnosed and treated by a healthcare professional. Scrolling Therapy won in the category of Patient Engagement/User experience.
The new tool is an innovative application integrated with the social networks Facebook and Instagram, which using artificial intelligence, encourages patients to navigate through the feed using only facial expressions, such as smiles, mouth, nose, forehead and eyebrows movements, among others. The goal is to generate stimuli on the face and exercise the muscles, as a complementary tool to the clinical treatment. The idea is to turn a daily time drain of scrolling into valuable therapy.
