EurON: Eurofarma's new digital innovation brand connects people, 

science and technology

The platform speeds up the digital transformation of the healthcare ecosystem and the first initiative is the opening of the connection to startup program

São Paulo, September 11, 2023 – Eurofarma, a multinational Brazilian pharmaceutical company present in 22 countries, announces a new brand for the company's entrepreneurship and digital transformation platform. EurON was designed to be a strong and unique brand, created to convey all the Eurofarma initiatives and digital platforms in a synergistic way, translating the fluid and collaborative connection between the company and the digital universe.

Society is already in the era of accelerated health transformation. Breakthroughs that took a generation to unfold are achieved faster and faster or in instants.  Eurofarma knows that the direction of this change is what will make the world better. And by looking up to the sky and keeping its feet on the ground, the company, through its legacy and DNA of constant evolution, presents EurON, a new space for innovation in a collaborative environment, given that innovation at Eurofarma is life being expanded. People, science and technology in a new synergy, enabling a future of global and affordable health.

The new EurON brand brings together:

  • EurON Six Sigma, the area responsible for intra-entrepreneurship projects, which empowers employees to take a critical eye to develop solutions that bring efficiency to the current process, as well as to transform processes and business models with innovative solutions.
  • EurON Open Innovation, the area responsible for exploring business opportunities aligned with Eurofarma's strategy and in synergy with the innovation ecosystems of Latin America, and creating an inbound flow for EurON Ventures. One of the fronts is the startup connection program. 
  • EurON Digital Health, a business unit with a global scope focused on generating value and revenue through digital technology solutions. A Digital Health area that develops projects such as the award-winning Scrolling Therapy application, which uses artificial intelligence to navigate social networks through facial movements, as a support therapy for Parkinson's patients.
  • EurON Ventures is an investment fund focused on technology projects aimed at the healthcare sector, which are at an early stage and focused on sorting out relevant issues in the sector.
  • EurON Data, a Market Intelligence and Data area that will provide relevant and actionable insights to support and influence the company's strategic decisions.

To foster the culture of innovation at Eurofarma, there are also new digital platforms: EurOn News, newsletters that will bring relevant content on digital innovation; EurON Talks, which will be activations with guests references in themes regarding innovation and technology; EurON  Academy, a new digital innovation education platform; and EurON Hub, a new location for collaborative innovation. 

The EurON Open Innovation has premiered by launching the connection program for Latin American startups

Applications for the startup connection program are open and will continue so by 10.06. The program is aimed at startups from all over Latin America that already have a validated product and are in the traction and scale phase.

"We are looking for companies willing to test their solution through a paid pilot and by leveraging it through contact with information and trends in the health sector, coaching in business areas and access to Eurofarma's relationship network, with over 4,000 suppliers, 1,500 active customers (B2B) and about 500,000 medical contacts per month, in addition to the chance of a long-term partnership with Eurofarma," comments Rodrigo Pereira.

Eurofarma is one of the pharmaceutical companies that invest the most in innovation in Latin America. The program has been a success since it was created in 2018. To date, the pioneering program in the pharmaceutical sector for startup acceleration has had more than 1,500 companies registered, and more than 70 accelerated, of which more than 50 have already carried out pilot projects and more than 50% have signed a contract with the company. 

The methodology and mentoring of the program allow startups to perceive points of attention and improvements, as well as the actual potential of the solution, also exploring other possible fronts not seen until then. 

It is worth mentioning that even if the startup originates from one country, it may present a solution to be implemented in another region, provided that it complies with the requirements established in the regulation.

In the second stage, the implementation of a monitoring system of the syrups production lines is proposed.
Latam Automation of Packing Lists We are looking for a technological solution that automates the process of creating packing lists.
Latam Support for patients with chronic diseases We seek solutions that involve physicians and patients, which are in accordance with the Eurofarma values (Focus on Health, Ethics, Innovation).
Latam Intelligence Tools for Sales Reps We look for ways to personalize the offer to physicians, saving them time and helping them get the most out of our medications and treatments.
Latam Digital transformation for independent pharmacies We seek to be technological partners of independent pharmacies, helping them in their digital transformation journey and providing them with management tools relevant to their business.
Brazil Consolidation and monitoring of strategic indicators We seek a platform where the management and monitoring of indicators can be carried out, bringing an agile and spot-on visibility regarding the fulfillment of the strategic vision.
Brazil Automation of customer registration We seek an automation that consults public data and automatically feeds the necessary information to register new customers in our ERP.
Brazil Automation of the credit analysis process We seek an automation for the credit analysis process, which performs queries of public data, payment history in our ERP and calculates risk and credit limit based on this information and defined parameters.
Brazil Automation of the registration and approval of suppliers We seek an automation that consults public data and automatically feeds the required information to register new suppliers in our ERP.
Brazil Artificial intelligence for comparative and document conferencing We seek an intelligence for evaluation and comparison of different files. The idea is that technical analysts validate the document only once and from then on, the automation checks the data in the next steps of the process.
Brazil Consolidation of fleet management data We seek a platform for consolidating and managing the data of our own and leased fleets in both Brazil and Latin America.
Brazil Follow-up of the cancer patient's journey We seek to develop a follow-up of the oncology patient's journey along with their clinical record, thus offering guidance on treatment, awareness of side effects and support.
