Company ranked for the second consecutive year among those with best reputation in the Pharmaceutical Industry category
São Paulo, March 2021 – For the second year in a row, Eurofarma, a Brazilian pharmaceutical multinational operating in 20 countries across Latin America, ranked among the top 3 companies of the Pharmaceutical Industry ranking created by the Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (Merco). Featured as one of the main reputation surveys in the country, the ranking’s 7th edition was held online on the morning of Thursday, 11th.
In addition to the presentations by sector (33 business segments surveyed), the survey also ranked the top 100 companies in terms of reputation, as well as the top 100 leaders. This edition covered a total of 2,366 survey respondents.
Bayer spearheaded the Pharmaceutical Industry category, followed by Hypera. In the General Ranking, Natura ranked first-place as the company with best reputation in the country.
Methodology
The survey is carried out through interviews with directors of companies from across the country, with revenues above $ 40 million, journalists and market experts, voting on the top ten companies with best reputations, excluding their own companies, and also sharing positive and negative aspects of their operations, which help outline the profile of the chosen companies.
A total of 200 companies are elected and undergo an exclusive Merco scoring methodology to determine the top 100 companies and leaders. KPMG is responsible for auditing the survey.
It is important to note that Eurofarma ranked as the best Brazilian pharmaceutical industry in sector classification in another ranking developed and released in July 2020 by Merco, featuring the most responsible companies with best Corporate Governance.
