Eurofarma invests in Latin America’s first sustainable CBD bond

The goal is to fund social and environmental projects in several areas

São Paulo, February 11, 2022 - Eurofarma, the only pharmaceutical company ranked first in the Exame Sustainability Guide on four different occasions, is one of the companies investing in a new sustainable bond launched by BTG Pactual bank. The bond an innovative Bank Deposit Certificate (CDB) in Latin America that is structured and aligned with international principles, and is the first of its kind in the region.

Together with 20 other companies, Eurofarma has bet on the new initiative that will benefit areas such as renewable energy, clean transport, sustainable agriculture, sanitation, affordable housing, financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, among others. BRL 1.5 billion has already been raised through the first round of funding.

This is yet another move that Eurofarma makes to reaffirm its commitment to social and environmental causes. Sustainability is an operative word across the company, and connected to our business.
